Join us in a little armchair travel as we visit Mexico with local writer and traveler Rebecca Carlson. The presentation will cover San Miguel de Allende where she lived, the festivals and holy celebrations of the area, and the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary.
A little about Rebecca: Erstwhile English Professor, traveler, voracious reader, paddleboarder, animal lover, blogger, writer, and soon-to-be YouTuber, Rebecca Carlson feels very fortunate to be a local, living full-time, on the gorgeous Leelanau Peninsula. As a contributing writer for the Glen Arbor Sun, she is following her passion for writing about the local farming community in her Farming Families Series, which began in May 2023. Rebecca hopes the travelogue series encourages and inspires the wanderlust in all of us.
All presentations are free, no registration required. All will be held in the library’s lower-level Community Room.
